the octagonal patio table

IMG_052902

One of the first pieces I designed. We couldn’t afford the $600 to $800 suppliers were asking for tables smaller, and less detailed than this one. It is entirely made of cedar. The top is octagonal and around 58” diameter. It will seat 8 as configured. It can be made smaller, but would become hexagonal, to seat 6. The legs are fitted with mortise and tenon joints, as is the base. This table is finished with *Natural* Australian Timber Oil and can be flat-packed for shipping.

One of the next projects will be to design and build dining chairs to match. They will be *English Garden* style, although any style can be discussed and built.
